One of the most important foundational responsibilities of you as a new puppy
owner will be to provide your dog with regular socializing experiences, exposing
him to all sorts of different people, objects, and environments. As your
puppy grows and matures, it is perfectly natural for him to begin to display
mischievous inclinations, independence, and dominance. While your puppy has
seemed so wonderful at 10 weeks of age, suddenly he may be much larger, and
becoming quite a handful to control.
Properly supervised socialization is absolutely crucial to the overall training
and development of a
highly social,
well balanced and temperamentally sound
adult dog. The more your dog is socialized to the world around him, the easier
your dog will be to train, and the happier your relationship will be.
