TRAINING SERVICES

Training begins with the establishment of a firm foundation rooted in fairness, consistency and a bond that reaffirms rapport with your dog.  This early relationship, created with your dog, sets the stage for their lifetime. An essential understanding of the basics paves the way to inclusiveness for your dog in the many aspects of your life. Reliability begins with understanding your dog's natural behavior and responses to the world in which he lives. By adhering to fundamental principals of intrinsic behavior in our training sessions, and remembering, that dogs learn by association (they generally seek what they find pleasing and avoid what they find displeasing), we can achieve reliable, reproducible results.

THINKING AND SPEAKING "DOG"

How dogs interpret human mannerisms, tones of voice, commands, praises and corrections are a must know for every owner/handler and key to achieving the training results you want. Well help you turn that Greek into dog, and remove the grey, with basic steps and fundamental lessons necessary to create the proper relationship between you and your dog.

Private Lessons

If the dogs had a say this would be their choice!  For owner's who have the necessary time to devote to training, this program creates an ideal training environment. for both owner and dog. A Trainer comes to you in your home and works with you and your dog together in the environment your dog is most used to.  Because most unwanted behaviors start and occur in or around the dogs home, this option allows us to work with you in resolving these behaviors and teaching you the tools to use where they count the most. Programs are customized to the needs of you and your dog and are offered for all dogs at all levels of training from Puppy Management to Advanced Off-Leash Obedience.  Reservations, proof of vaccinations and a Trainer intake are required prior to enrolling. Call or email us today for a Free Consultation.

In-Kennel

Commonly called "Board and Train", our In-kennel programs are customized to you and your dogs specific needs.  Training takes place while your pet stays in short term residence at an ABKA member facility where they have lots of time to play, socialize, train and relax in the presence of professionally trained and experienced kennel staff.  These programs are great for owners who travel or are planning a vacation.  Unlike many other organizations all of our In-Kennel programs include one-on-one follow up sessions in your home to help you reinforce what your canine friend has learned.  This program is open to dogs 6 months of age and older. Animals must be in good health.    In-kennel programs are not for every dog and our knowledgeable staff can recommend the best program for your dog.  Call or email us today for a Free Consultation.

Team Train

This cutting edge method is ideal for dogs with special needs, young dogs, owner's needing dedicated assistance with housebreaking, and intense obedience work.  Dogs stay 24/7 in short term residence with a  Trainer in their home. Much like a foster home used by animal rescue agencies, this gives the Trainer a first hand look at your dogs temperament and behaviors and allows us the necessary time to rapport with your dog.  This option is a good alternative for owners who travel, or have extensive work schedules or have planned a vacation but have a young dog, a dog prone to kennel anxiety/stress or just want the extra attention not afforded by a Kennel or Pet Sitter.  All of our In-Kennel programs include one-on-one follow up sessions in your home to help you reinforce what your canine friend has learned. Space is limited and Reservations are required. Proof of vaccinations and a Trainer intake are required prior to enrolling. Call or email us today for a Free Consultation.
